This lovely, mostly level trail winds alongside a gentle river and through charming woodlands, offering a wonderfully scenic and peaceful escape. It's a shared path, so you'll find plenty of fellow walkers and cyclists enjoying the fresh air alongside you. Your dog will absolutely adore sniffing out new scents through the woods and by the river. It's an ideal route for a leisurely stroll or even a bit of a run for more energetic pups. While there aren't specific dog rules mentioned, common courtesy applies – please keep your dog under control, especially around other trail users and wildlife, and always pick up after them to keep this beautiful valley pristine for everyone. Parking is conveniently available at Pentewan car park, which is reportedly free – always a bonus! The trail stretches all the way to Pentewan Sands, where you'll find a delightful sandy beach. At the sands end of the trail, you can also discover a pub and a cafe that serves ice cream, making for a perfect reward after your walk.
