It's always a good idea to pop them back on the lead when passing through farmland or near animals. Remember, leave no trace behind; please bag and bin your dog's waste to keep this stunning landscape pristine for everyone. Parking is available at numerous points across the hills, offering various starting points for your adventures. Look out for designated car parks – some may be small and informal, while others, like the one near Nether Stowey, provide a good base. Facilities can be a bit sparse once you're out on the hills, so it's wise to come prepared with water for yourself and your dog, and perhaps a snack or two. There are often pubs in the charming villages dotted around the edges of the Quantocks, many of which welcome well-behaved dogs. While specific facilities like dedicated dog washes or agility courses aren't typically found high up in the hills, the natural environment itself provides endless enjoyment. Benches at scenic viewpoints offer a chance to rest and soak in the breathtaking vistas. Nether Stowey, a lovely village, acts as an excellent gateway to these walks, and you can often start your rambles right from your accommodation, as mentioned by guests of The Old Cider House.
