You can take a stroll to the historic Mugdock Castle, which proudly overlooks Mugdock Loch, perhaps passing by Craigend Castle on your way. For a bit of whimsical adventure, head over Pietches Moor and through Pheasants Wood to tackle the charming Toadstool Trail. If history piques your interest, a walk across Khyber Field will lead you to the intriguing WW2 Gunsites. With so much varied scenery, every walk feels like a new adventure! After your grand exploration, you can head to the Courtyard, where you’ll find a Visitor Centre, gift shop, and even a couple of cafes for a well-deserved refreshment. While dogs are generally welcome in the park, it's always a good idea to check specific rules for indoor areas like cafes and the Visitor Centre. Car parks are open from 9 am to 6:30 pm, and the grounds are accessible all day, every day, with free entry. Remember to keep your dog on a lead where necessary, especially around wildlife and livestock, and always clean up after them to keep the park beautiful for everyone. Waste bins are available, and there’s ample parking for your convenience.
