About this park
Welcome to Hubbard's Hills, a true gem nestled on the western edge of Louth! This stunning wooded valley, carved out by glacial meltwater some 40,000 years ago, features the beautiful River Lud meandering through its heart. Gifted to the people of Louth by Auguste Alphonse Pahaud in loving memory of his wife Annie, it's a cherished spot for generations to enjoy. You'll find plenty of space for a lovely stroll with your four-legged friend, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. Hubbard's Hills is designed to be a peaceful haven for everyone, so we kindly ask for your cooperation to keep it that way. While your pooches are generally welcome, please keep an eye out for signage. In areas where indicated or where children are playing, it's best to pop your dog on a lead. Remember to always pick up after your dog and dispose of waste responsibly – taking as much home with you as possible helps keep this wonderful space pristine. There are handy parking areas available, one from the Hallington side (LN11 9QU) and another near the café from Crowtree Lane (LN11 0QW), though do note the Crowtree Lane parking may have a fee and is privately owned. You'll find public toilets conveniently located at the Crowtree Lane entrance too. For a post-walk treat, there's a café at the Crowtree Lane entrance, though its opening times can vary seasonally. Enjoy your visit!
