Roundhay Park

About this park

Roundhay Park is an absolute gem for dog walkers and their furry friends, boasting over 700 acres of varied landscape in the heart of West Yorkshire. You'll find everything from tranquil lakes and dense woodlands to beautifully manicured formal gardens. It's a fantastic spot for a leisurely stroll or an energetic romp, with plenty of open spaces for your dog to explore off-lead where appropriate. While dogs are generally welcome throughout the park, it's always good practice to keep them on a lead in busier areas, especially near cafes, play areas, and around Tropical World. Remember to be mindful of other park users and wildlife, and always pick up after your dog to keep this lovely park pristine for everyone to enjoy. There are waste bins dotted around, so you'll easily find somewhere to dispose of bags. Parking is plentiful with four main car parks located conveniently around the park, including by the Lakeside Cafe and the historic Mansion House. On-street parking is also available on Mansion Lane. You'll find excellent facilities here, with several cafes for a well-deserved cuppa and a snack, and public toilets, including accessible ones. It's a truly comprehensive day out for both you and your canine companion, offering a mix of nature, recreation, and refreshments in a stunning setting.
