Hydon's Ball

About this park

Hydon's Ball offers a beautiful escape into nature, perfect for a dog walk in the Surrey Hills. As one of the National Trust's earliest acquisitions and a memorial to co-founder Octavia Hill, it holds a special place, boasting magnificent views across the countryside towards the Sussex border from its elevated position. Your four-legged friends are more than welcome here, provided they are kept well-controlled. While Hydon's Ball provides a wonderful opportunity for off-lead exercise in certain areas, please always be mindful of other visitors and wildlife. It's a great spot for exploring with your canine companion, offering a mix of heathland and woodland to sniff and discover. The terrain here includes some uneven paths, and they can become quite muddy, especially after rain, so do come prepared with appropriate footwear for yourself! There are no toilet facilities on site, but car parking is available at Hydon's car park. Hydon's Ball is a truly tranquil spot for a refreshing walk with your dog, soaking in those stunning Surrey vistas.
