Pollok Country Park

About this park
Welcome to Pollok Country Park, Glasgow's only Country Park and its largest green space, offering a wonderful escape for you and your canine companion! Nestled in the heart of Glasgow, this expansive park boasts extensive woodlands, beautiful gardens, and riverside walks, providing a tranquil sanctuary for both visitors and wildlife. While some areas, like the paths and gardens around Pollok House, will be closed from June 2025 for essential external works, there are still plenty of alternative routes and picturesque spots to explore with your dog. Your dog will love sniffing out the woodland trails (just be sure to keep them on a lead in certain areas, especially around wildlife – yes, there are Highland cattle here!). You'll find lovely spots for a picnic, and if you're feeling adventurous, you can even try the orienteering course. Do remember to respect other park users and wildlife, and always clean up after your dog to keep this beautiful park pristine for everyone. While the Old Stable Courtyard and its associated toilets are currently undergoing refurbishment, you'll find public toilets available at the Burrell Collection. The park is open at all times, making it a flexible option for a dog walk. Parking is available, and there are refreshments at the Burrell Collection and Pollok House (though check opening times and dog-friendly policies directly with them). Come and discover the rich rural history and stunning natural beauty that Pollok Country Park has to offer!
