While the initial ascent to the Mump's ruined 15th-century church is steep, dogs are welcome and should be kept on a lead around grazing livestock, particularly sheep often found on the Mump itself. The rest of the 5-mile circular route is largely flat, winding through farmland and alongside the River Parrett, offering varied terrain for sniffing and exploring.
