This expansive park boasts breathtaking views over the Thames Estuary and a fantastic mix of idyllic countryside. Whether you're after a leisurely stroll or an energetic hike, the multi-use trails provide ample space for everyone, and it's particularly lovely in spring when the bluebells emerge, and in summer with meadows buzzing with butterflies. Your four-legged companions are more than welcome here, but do remember to keep them under control, especially given the presence of other park users and the grazing animals (goats, cows, and sheep) that are vital for the park's natural land management. There are lakes and ponds, so please keep a close eye on your dog near the water. It's truly a place where dogs can enjoy the fresh air and open spaces alongside their owners. Parking is plentiful with 400 spaces, though it's now a 'pay and stay' system, meaning you need to pay upon arrival using the MiPermit app, website, or onsite card terminals. No cash, unfortunately! Money from parking goes right back into maintaining this beautiful landscape. You'll find a delightful Hub Cafe run by The Salvation Army if you fancy a cuppa and a treat. Toilets are also available, ensuring a comfortable visit for all. With wide-open spaces perfect for picnics, dedicated walking trails, and even a bike shop if you fancy hiring a set of wheels (for humans!), Hadleigh Country Park really does have something for every family member.
