Sandbanks Beach

About this park

Sandbanks Beach is one of Dorset’s most famous coastal locations, known for its golden sands, fresh sea air, and beautiful views across Poole Harbour. It remains a popular destination for dog owners, but dog access is restricted during certain times of the year. ⏰ Dog Walking Restrictions Summer season (1 May – 30 September): Dogs are only permitted before 10:00am and after 6:00pm Outside the summer season (1 October – 30 April): Dogs are welcome on the beach at any time During permitted hours, Sandbanks Beach offers a fantastic setting for peaceful early-morning or evening walks, when the beach is quieter and cooler for dogs. The flat shoreline is ideal for relaxed strolls, with plenty of space to enjoy the coastal surroundings. Dog owners are expected to keep dogs under control, follow local signage, and clean up after them to help maintain this beautiful beach for everyone. With nearby parking, promenade paths, and cafés, Sandbanks Beach is an excellent choice for responsible dog walkers who plan their visits around the seasonal restrictions.
